Anatomies of Attention is a series of sculptural objects that enlarge and abstract the sensory organs of the body. Oversized noses, ears, and other bodily forms become strange instruments for noticing, listening, smelling, and sensing the world more fully.

The project explores how perception shapes experience, memory, intuition, and fate. By exaggerating the parts of the body through which we receive information, the work asks how attention itself might become a material practice. These objects are both playful and contemplative, inviting viewers to slow down, become aware of their own senses, and consider the body as a site of knowledge.

Situated between sculpture, ritual object, and embodied research, Anatomies of Attention reflects Montgomery Studios’ broader interest in interiority, mindfulness, and the emotional life of form.
